No, this isn't a post about a new time I logged, though my times have been really good as of late. This blog is about something I spotted this morning on the way to work.
I was driving up Morning Side and in front of me, in the distance, I could see a Mercedes S Class with it's flashers on. I figured they were picking up a child for school or something. All of the sudden, something was being tossed out the window in a white plastic bag. I thought, are they throwing out drugs? Then I realized, she was the paper lady, throwing newspapers out the window of her Mercedes Benz S Class. It was 8:30 in the morning. I mean, what happened to waking up with the newspaper already at your door. Also, what happened to the newspapers being thrown from bicycles or from cruddy, broken down mini vans with exhaust spewing into the atmosphere. Is nothing sacred anymore? All that being said, kudos to her for making do with what you have. I mean, I am sure she would rather be tossing her papers from an old Ford Windstar or rusty old Schwinn, but alas, all that is available to her was her S Class. Maybe Santa will bring her a new bike.
Ok, that had nothing to do with running, but was a fun story to tell.
Happy Thursday and Peaceful Running!

Sometimes my Wall St. Journal comes before I leave with Ross in the morning and sometimes it doesn't. I leave about 7:20 every morning.
ReplyDeletePerhaps my paper person still uses the bike.
